One simple thought on presentations

Go out for a run!

today I would like to share a very brief thought on how to create a successful presentation because I truly believe that it will help you a lot.

Sometimes we get lost in data, too much paperwork and PowerPoint charts. But is that really what matters when you present?

Albert Mehrabian’s 7-38-55 Rule of Personal Communication says that 55% of your presentation success in determined by body language, 38% by voice and tone and only 7% is about spoken words and your slides. This brings us to the conclusion that you as a presenter in front other audiences make all the difference. Your rhetoric and voice are both very important and bring you the success.

Therefore, my tip to not only study PowerPoint, presentation techniques and communication but to actually start practicing and work on your rhetoric, body language and voice.

My thought: Do some sport and exercise on the day of an important presentation, because it will significantly improve the state of your body and mind and your will make a much better impression in front of your audience.

Best wishes,
Christopher Lier
